1940 – Frank Zappa is born in Baltimore. 1943 – English blues guitarist Albert Lee is born in Hereforshire. 1946 – Carl Wilson of the Beach Boys is born in Hawthorne, Calif. 1963 – The Beatles perform their first Christmas show at the Gaumont Theatre in Bradford, England. 1964 – Ode to a High Flying Bird, a picture book tribute to Charlie Parker by Rolling Stones drummer Charlie Watts, is published in England. 1974 – At the Rainbow Theatre in London, Bad Company are joined for a jam onstage by Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones of Led Zeppelin. The group performs B.B. King’s “Rock Me Baby.” 1978 – Rod Stewart settles out of court with drummer Mickey Waller, who claims he was not paid royalties for his work on 1974’s Smiler album. 1992 – Blues guitarist Albert King dies from a heart attack in Memphis. 2001 - Kiss made a guest appearance on Family Guy where they appeared in a holiday special Kiss Saves Santa. 2001 - Beverly Hills police launched an investigation into why Olivia Harrison listed a non-existent Beverly Hills address as the place of George Harrison’s death. 2005 – Sir Elton John marries his longtime partner David Furnish at a civil union service in Windsor, England.
